Maria Espeus

De rerum natura

The Cabinet of Natural History of the Salvador, as the first museum in the country, preserved at the Botanical Institute of Barcelona of Montjuïc, had the purpose of unvailing the secrets of Nature and provide us with the best medicines, from the most simple or the most rare, following the pharmacopoea principles of the era. Maria Espeus’ photos are the poetic response with a new, enlightened and creative look at the Koans, used in Zen philosophy as enigmas and posed poetically by Laia Noguera, to help us capture the distant beauty that nests in the fascinating pieces preserved in the cabinet.
